About
Visual Means (a student/faculty collaborative creative studio) was given the opportunity to design visual solutions for Reparative Futures.
"Rutgers University – Newark, at the invitation of the University of Michigan Center on Social Solutions, has become a partner in a major new grant-funded project sponsored by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Rutgers University - Newark (along with other participating colleges) collaborate with community partners in a public history reckoning designed to yield tangible, community-based racial reparations solutions that reflect the specific histories and contemporary circumstances of each community." Brochure Cover
The Reparative Futures logo is used as a puzzle piece within the brochure to resemble the growth and progress within Newark. Each puzzle piece is meant to hold various defining aspects of Newark and that reflects the mission of Reparative Futures Newark.
